MITCHELL WEINER, DMD

Dr. Mitchell Weiner

Dr. Mitchell Weiner is a general dentist who earned a Doctor in Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. Dr. Weiner also earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Frostburg University where he was president of the biology honor society.

Dr. Weiner has advanced training from a residency program that he completed from the V.A. Medical Center, University of Louisville, Norton's Children's Hospital, in Louisville, Kentucky. He received post doctorate training in all the dental specialties with rotations in oral and maxillofacial surgery, cosmetic implants, laser surgery, oral pathology, periodontal surgery, general practice dentistry, TMJ, and anesthesia and intravenous sedation.

Dr. Weiner currently holds dental licenses for the state of Maryland, South Carolina, as well as the District of Columbia. He was on staff at Prince George's Hospital Center for almost 20 years and is a volunteer at a clinic in Charleston, South Carolina.

Dr. Weiner's advanced training in many areas of dentistry, as well as his years of experience as a general dentist, is and will continue to be an important facet to this practice.

Dr. Richard Batz

Dr. Richard Batz is both a dentist and a pharmacist. He graduated from the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy, with High Honors, and practiced hospital pharmacy for 15 years. He is also a graduate of the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry, where he received the Senior Thesis Award.

Dr. Batz has experience in working with physicians in oncology, internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, and shock trauma. His knowledge of pharmacology, and drug interactions is very valuable with the increase in aging patients with multiple medications. Our multispecialty practice model is similar to a hospital setting. Dr. Batz believes this gives our patients optimal care.

Dr. Albert Conley

Dr. Albert Conley did his undergraduate studies at Howard University. He graduated from Howard Dental University in 1982. He did a general practice residency at Providence Hospital in Baltimore. He then completed a 2 year anesthesia residency at the Providence Hospital in Baltimore.

Dr. Conley is a Diplomat of the American Dentist Society of Anesthesia and a Diplomat of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesia. He is also on the commission that inspects and licenses Maryland general anesthesia offices and practices administration of general anesthesia and sedation. Dr. Conley has over 20 years experience in anesthesia and general dentistry.

Dr. Ali Eghtesadi

(Endodontist, Root Canal Specialist)

Dr. Ali Eghtesadi is an Endodontist specializing in root canals and endodontic microsurgery. He attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) as an undergraduate student earning a B.S. in biology with honors. He then went on to attend the University of Maryland Dental School on a full academic scholarship, which he earned for being in the top 5% of his entering dental class. After graduation from dental school, Dr. Eghtesdai was accepted for General Practice at the prestigious Harvard University School of Dental Medicine. After the completion of his general residency, Dr. Eghtesadi went on to pursue a specialty in Endodontics at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Eghtesadi is greatly concerned with patient care and explaining treatment procedures to his patients in detail. Making his patients comfortable and reducing their anxiety is of great importance to him.

Dr. Eghtesadi enjoys reading, mountain biking, and playing basketball.

Dr. Andoseh

Dr. Andoseh obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University, Canada and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University, where she graduated with honors. She furthered her studies by completing a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Andoseh who is fluent in English and French grew up in Cameroon, West Africa where she developed a keen interest in dentistry after witnessing the impact volunteer doctors made in a country where dentistry was more of a luxury than a necessity. Her passion for dentistry as well as helping those in need is manifested in her extensive record of volunteer work for the homeless and other less fortunate segments of society who are unable to afford proper dental care. Dr. Andoseh looks forward to addressing your dental needs with care and compassion as well as extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of dentistry. 

Dr. Asha Narendra

Dr. Asha Narendra is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She also has a Bachelor Degree in Science from Bangalore University. Dr. Narendra received guidance from her dentist, which helped her make the decision to pursue a career in dentistry. During school, she was involved in a research program about tobacco and its oral health effects. After school in India, she taught at the dental school, which she enjoyed. Dr. Narendra is excited about her career, and is very excited about meeting new patients. When Dr. Narendra is not working, she loves to spend time with her family and enjoys the great outdoors, biking, hiking, and nature.

Dr. Chun Tan

Dr. Chun Tan completed her dental education from one of the top dental schools in China in 2003. With great interests in research, she got her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2009. After that, she finished the Advanced Standing Program from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor and the International Dentist Award. As a general dentist, Dr. Tan is committed to detail-oriented quality-based dental care to every patient in a gentle manner. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Tan enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.  

Dr. Dayo Ogunnaike 

 Dr. Dayo received her Doctor in Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland’s School of Dentistry. She attended The University of Maryland in College Park for her undergraduate studies. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy with a concentration in Communications and Linguistics. Her intentions were to attend law school. While receiving orthodontic treatment, she discovered her passion for oral health and hygiene, so she pursued dentistry instead. While in dental school, Dr. Ogunnaike became and Albert Schweitzer fellow and has committed herself to addressing the oral health care needs of underserviced communities. She continues to participate, volunteer, and commit her time in community service activities that promote oral, mental, and physical health. As a dentist, Dr. Ogunnaike’s belief in life is “The teeth hold stories and secrets that the lips won’t tell”.

   

Dr. Fariba Danesh

Dr. Fariba Danesh earned a nursing degree as well as a degree of doctor of dental surgery. She earned her doctor of dental surgery from Case Western Reserve University, School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio, where she earned a clinical scholarship and an award for clinical excellence. She holds a Maryland state dental license. Dr. Danesh's nursing experience and her degree in dentistry are a wonderful combination in the dental field.

Dr. Francis Hunte

(Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics)

Dr. Francis Hunte attended Howard University where she completed the Bachelor of Science, Doctor of Dental Surgery accelerated program, graduating with honors. Dr. Hunte later completed the Brigham and Women's Harvard-Wide General Practice Residency program in Boston, MA. She later was accepted into the Mayo graduate School of Medicine where she completed a four-year residency in Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics.

Dr. Hyejin Esther Cho

(General Dentist Limited To Children, Pediatric Resident) 

Dr. Cho completed her Bachelor of Arts in chemistry at Cornell University in 1998 and obtained her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2005. Upon graduation, she served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and then started her specialty training in Pediatric dentistry at University of Maryland Dental School in 2010. She expects to complete her specialty certificate training in 2012.  

Dr. Jared Seltzer
(Endodontic Resident)

Dr. Seltzer obtained his D.D.S. from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, New York.  He went on to complete a 1 year general practice residency at Stony Brook Hospital.  He attended Binghamton University in New York with a concentration in chemistry.   

Dr. Jeffrey Brain

(Periodontist, Gum Specialist)

Dr. Jeffrey Brain was born in Quantico, Virginia and raised in Lima, Peru. Being raised in Peru he benefits to the office by being one of the few who are bilingual. He graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1991 with a Doctorates Degree in Sceince and received The Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics. After getting an officer commission in the U.S. Naval Dental Corp, he attended a one year General Practice Residency and worked as a general dentist for 4 years. He graduated from a 3 year residency in Periodontics at Bethesda Naval Post Graduate School in 1999 and obtained Diplomate status by the American Board of Periodontology in 2000. He voluntarily separated from the Navy in 2002 and lives in Bethesda, MD.

Dr. Jonathan Dukes

Dr. Jonathan Dukes obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University, College of Dentistry in 1999 with honors. The following year Dr. Dukes achieves his Oral Surgery Residency/General Practice Residency at D.C. General Hospital. Dr. Dukes started working with Drs. Batz and Weiner beginning the summer of 2000 and has been here ever since. For lesiure, Dr. Dukes enjoys playing golf and tennis. Dr. Dukes has been happily married for 20 years, and resides at home with his wife and two sons who are 19 and 15.

Dr. Nathalie Phaeton
(Pediatric Specialist)

Dr. Phaeton is a gentle, caring dentist who uses the most advanced materials & procedures available. She practices comfortable, health-centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on preventive dentistry, safety & getting to know each of her patients. In addition to her technical proficiency, Dr. Phaeton is a careful listener & will explain beforehand what treatment is best for your child’s individual needs. 

After earning her bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Dr. Phaeton received her doctorate from Howard University College of Dentistry & continued to complete two additional years of the rigorous training required to become a pediatric dentist.

During that time, she participated in dental research at Columbia University. She is a member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Northern Virginia Dental Society & the American Dental Association.

Dr. Ronnie Jones

(Periodantic Dentist, Gum Specialist)

Dr. Ronnie Jones is a retired United States Army Periodontist with a Doctor in Dental Surgery and a Bachelor of Dental Sciences Degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Jones received his Post-Doctorate in Periodontics from the U.S. Army, Fort Gorden master of Oral biology- medical college of Georgia. He was Chief of the Department of Periodontics in U.S. Army at Epes Dental Clinic, Fort Meade, Maryland.

 Dr. Sharon Kavandi

Dr. Sharon Kavandi is a general dentist with over eleven years experience. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from George Washington University. She continued to receive a Master of Microbiology Studies before entering Georgetown University Dental School. Dr. Kavandi graduated at the top of her class in May 1990 with a degree in Doctor of Dental.

Dr. Sharon Russell

(Oral Surgeon, Maxillofacial Surgery and Extractions)

Dr. Sharon Russell is a Doctor of Dentistry specializing in Oral Surgery. She comes to us after being a registered nurse for more than 12 years. She graduated from Howard University Dental School with honors. She also graduated with honors from Howard University Hospital, Oral Surgery Residency. While in school, she received numerous awards for her studies, hard work, and compassion towards those that she came in contact with. She has always wanted to be in the medical field and thought that a career of an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery would allow her to use a combination of her medical knowledge with dentistry.
During her free time she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her 5 children.

Dr. Sint Wai Wai

Dr. Sint Wai Wai is a general dentist and graduated from Temple University School Dentistry, Pennsylvania. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Physical Chemistry from Rangoon University.

Dr. Sung Kim

Dr. Sung Kim obtained his D.M.D. from Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. After earning his B.S. he went to Johns Hopkins Graduate School for Biological Engineering program. During the first year of the program, he was accepted by Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. After careful consideration, he decided to attend Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. He currently has a license in the District of Columbia and Maryland, and is practicing in both locations.

Dr. Ziglari (Dr. Z)

Dr. Z has a friendly and outgoing personality which helps those patients that are apprehensize of the dentist feel more at ease. Dr. Z has had a true passion for dentistry for quite sometime, as he has seen many people in such pain and wanted to help. He also enjoys enriching the smile of those that want their smile after suffering from dental health problems. He is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. While not at work, Dr. Z enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with his family and cooking.
