History

• October 1990: Richard Batz, DDS and Mitchell Weiner, DDS start a general family practice with two treatment areas offering evenings and day appointments in their modern 1250 sq. feet office.

• October 1991: Batz and Weiner hire their first employee to handle insurance and scheduling appointments.

• January 1992: Batz and Weiner hire their first clinical assistant with the qualifications of a certified dental assistant.

• Spring 1994: Batz and Weiner expand to three treatment areas and bring on the first specialist, an endodontist to perform root canals.

• Fall 1994: Batz and Weiner hire their first associate doctor, and they expand their hours to include Saturdays.

• Spring 1996: Batz and Weiner hire their first periodontist to treat patients gum disease. Also, Batz and Weiner get approval from the State of Maryland dental board to officer I.V. Sedation (twilight sleep) to patients in the office.

• November 1997: Batz and Weiner Dental open Sundays. Now open 7 days a week.
January 1998: Batz and Weiner team up with Norwest Financial Group to offer patient's low payments with no interest.

• February 1999: Batz and Weiner Dental offer patients the ability to get their own dental plan through Ameriplan Dental Plan.

• January 2000: Batz and Weiner now have18 doctors and is open 6 am to 10pm, 7 days a week. Our specialists are in all the dental specialities including Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Periodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Prosthodontics.

• February 2002: Batz and Weiner open its new expansion that has 14 treatment rooms, 21 doctors, 3 surgery suites for 4100 sq feet total. Come in for a visit and see for yourself!
